Enco is a Research Company with a Material Testing Laboratory which has been working since 1989 on construction materials for applications in architecture and civil encineering.

Enco focusses on the following activities:


Consultant advice on the optimization of materials used in new buildings, in the analysis of the state of deteriorating structures, and in the selection of materials to be used in structural repair.

Research and development of new materials to optimize production processes and allow the reuse of waste materials. Enco's activities in this area are aided by its research laboratory, which is accredited by the Italian Ministry for Universities adn Scientific and Technological Research (MURST), is authorised by the Italian Ministry for Public Works (LL.PP.), and is qualified by Italian National Railways (FS) to work on the High Speed Rail Project.

Enco offers start-up support to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Enco offers update-courses and specialist courses on construction materials for technical staff employed in enterprises, management, industries and planning offices. Books on these subjects are also available.

The development of software packages for mix-design and prescriptions for concrete.

Tests on cement, aggregates, admixtures, mortars, concretes, steel, bricks, etc. Enco's activities in this area are aided by its research laboratory which is authorised and accredited by several Italian ministries

To disseminate scientific and technological progress in the field of construction materials, Enco publishes Enco Journal which is distributed without charge on request and is also available electonically.

Enco partecipates in national and international congressed in the area of concrete on almost all continents: Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia. A list of scientific publications is available on this site.

Enco organises and partecipates in seminars and conferences held in italian or english on a variety of issues (regulations, applications, theoretical and practical aspects) concerning the use of construction materials in new buildings or in the repair of deteriorating structures.


Enco provides impartial resolutions to disputes between parties (working within construction industries) on a short timescale (typically 30-60 days) making use of documentary evidence provided by those concerned or made available by further investigation. Enco is also available for technical support for legal disputes.
 

Enco makes diagnostics on-site activities for the definition of structural failure and deterioration of materials, surveys of concrete structures, masonry structures on the floors and wood elements.
